Revitalise in Sandpipers

Revitalise in Sandpipers

I have been on holiday for a whole week by myself (ok technically not true but will explain soon) and I wish I could go back. Thanks to an unexpected Grant I was offered a week away for much needed respite at Revitalise in Sandpipers, Southport.

To be honest I wish I was still there.

The weather was wonderful and the people are amazing. I will be sharing more about this amazing organisation later but for now I am so thankful to the awesome (if slightly disturbed lol) volunteers, who enabled me to be myself on my good days and my bad.

I didn’t need to pretend to be happy, all the time, I was just me.

I wish I was still there – time has flown since my break.

Hopefully, I will get to go back soon.

At the tender age of three, Leanna Benjamin knew her place was in the limelight and that nothing else would do. From her parents' living room in Leicester, she pirouetted her way straight through school into the BBC. Just as her dreams were coming to fruition, a simple case of the flu triggered a debilitating illness that has left her with life changing consequences. Leanna Benjamin is a Graeae Theatre Write to Play alum, and a Leeds Playhouse Fuse Writer, but this is not the synopsis for her new play - it is the story of her life. And she wants to share it with you.
